On small family and large international horticultural operations we are able to offer nice internship opportunities. Grown products include seasonal plants and flowers, perennials, shrubs and trees, and some of the cultivated plants are fruit and vegetables.
At small companies, you will participate in any place in the business. At large companies, there is a separation of tasks.
Each operation has a different market (retail, wholesale), please give a good description of the area in which you are most interested, so that you have the chance to develop your knowledge and skills best. Most horticulture operations are in the vicinity of urban areas.
Activities: pre-processing of soil, plants and propagation, watering, insect and disease control, weed control, pruning, sales and customer service, logistics.
Note: The internship duration is usually 6 to 12 months.
